Prayer of the Day—No. 6
Happy Monday, loved ones. I am so committed to this, it’s almost scaring me. I knew going into this new year that I wanted show up more consistently in my writing, I just didn’t know how I would.
Since beginning, so many doubts have tried to interrupt this process, but have not prevailed. And today, I celebrate that! I celebrate not allowing my insecurities to take dominion over this creative process + my creative expression.
We all have our own insecurities. Some have been a result of something someone has said about us, the words of someone who’s been overly critical of us, or even a result of our own comparisons + harsh criticism of ourselves.
These words have planted seeds of insecurities in us that have grown over time, making us question who we are. And somewhere along the way, we lost sight of who we were and allowed those words to make a home in us & drown our self-esteem. Those lies becomes the lens that we see ourselves and our abilities through.
Whenever you feel inadequate or insecure, meditate on what God has already said about you and ask yourself “Who told me that these were the truth?”
Let us replace negative thoughts with God’s truth of who we are and find ways to fall in love with the forgotten (but always present) parts of ourselves.
I’m here to remind you: you are Gods masterpiece. Everything you are made of, and capable of, God sees as worthy, unique, set apart, and above all things beautiful.
As we come to the end of today, I encourage you to find confidence in the Father’s view of you. He loves you & His love will never cease!
Prayer of the Day No. 6—Confidence
Beautiful God,
Thank you for your unceasing love towards me. I am grateful that you see beauty where I see insecurity. God help me to release the lies I’ve been fed, and replace it with the truth of who you’ve called me to be & see me as. Help me to overcome the insecurities & see myself as worthy, beautiful, and authentically valuable. Remind me to turn to Your word, and to fix my eyes on what you have already said about me. Help me to transform my mind, and the way that I think about myself. And help me to forgive those whose words have wounded me. Remove the insecurities that are hindering me from living at my full potential. Lord, God, I pray your truth continues to affirm me & fill in the gaps where I may be lacking confidence. I look to you for my identity. Your word gives me security. Your presence affirms me. You are the essence of confidence, living on the inside of me. Help me to apply the truth, daily. I love you. I thank you. Amen!
